The Give Box
We opened our first retail store in November 2019 at Trinity Walk Shopping Centre, Wakefield.
We have a fantastic range of new products to choose from, which have been kindly donated by a number of local companies. We also have a selection of good quality donated items for sale, including clothes, accessories, books, homeware, DVDs, bric-a-brac and toys.
The Give Box is the perfect place to find out more information about the Community Foundation Wakefield District and how you can become involved in helping your local community.
Supporting the community
We’re a charity shop with a difference. We sell a range of new products, in addition to good quality pre-loved items, but our main focus is to be a donation point for clothing and household items. Donated goods are sorted through, then given to community groups and charity organisations across the Wakefield District to distribute to individuals and families in need.
The money raised in The Give Box goes towards our Umbrella Fund. The aim of the Umbrella Fund is to provide small grants to individuals, local communities and voluntary groups wanting to make a difference and help build better communities within the Wakefield District.

Location & opening times
Our store is in Trinity Walk, Wakefield, WF1 1QU. We’re the first unit at the top of the escalator in Sainsbury’s car park.
Our usual opening times are Monday to Saturday, 10am – 4pm.
How can I donate?
Donating your pre-loved goods is a great way to support people in need whilst also caring for the environment, as your goods will be reused.
We couldn’t operate without our local community donating their pre-loved items, so if you’re having a clear out at home, please consider donating them to us.
