How you decide to support the Community Foundation is entirely up to you. You might decide to leave a specific sum of money or a share of your estate after you have made other gifts. Leaving the residue, or part residue, is a popular way of giving as you do not have to decide on an amount now, you just need to decide what proportion of your estate you would like to leave to the Community Foundation. Just let your solicitor know and they will ensure your wishes are included using the correct legal wording.

This is a permanent, capital fund set up with a minimum pledge of £25,000. The capital is invested and the income used to make grants year after year. The very nature of endowment means this type of fund will go on helping your local community in perpetuity. It’s like having your own charitable trust, but we undertake all the investment and administration – yet you still choose which causes you wish to support.
Minimum donation of £25,000
To discuss the options open to you, please contact Lisa Milburn, Foundation Director, on 01924 239 181 or email Lisa.Milburn@wakefieldcf.org.uk.
