Give the Gift of Warmth

Double your Donation between 30th November – 7th December!

In our local communities, there are many people like John, still living in fuel poverty. People who spend every hour in bed just to keep warm and families that have to choose between eating and heating.

Donating just £2 will ‘Give the Gift of Warmth’ and help families and the elderly keep warm for a day. Your support really does make a difference and if you donate online between 12 noon on 30th November to 12 noon on 7th December 2021, your donation will be doubled as part of the Big Give Christmas Challenge.

For the third year the Foundation is taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge.  We are calling on our amazing supporters to help smash our £6,250 online target, which will be gratefully matched funded by Wakefield District Housing and Wakefield Council raising a grand total of £12,500.

So don’t forget, to double your donation to the Give the Gift of Warmth campaign, please donate here from 12 noon on 30th November until 12 noon 7th December 2021.

Please note, this link is only live between these dates.

If you are a UK tax-payer, please don’t forget to tick the Gift Aid box when you donate, as your gift will be worth even more at no extra cost to you. For example, a donation of £10 during the Big Give Christmas Challenge week will be worth £22.50 towards achieving our target. A £100 donation would raise an incredible £225.

Last year, thanks to the generosity of the public and local businesses, the Fuel Poverty campaign, Give the Gift of Warmth, helped over 800 households. Following the continuing harsh effects of the Coronavirus pandemic, the increase in fuel prices and the reduction in Universal Credit, many more communities are likely to suffer the effects of fuel poverty, this winter.

Alternatively, you can support Challenge 25 which is also part of our Fuel Poverty Campaign. We have teams of supporters fundraising in many different ways to raise money for fuel poverty.

This challenge is open until the end of the year, please find out more here or donate to our JustGiving page here!

We are hoping that both challenges will raise a grand total of £25,000.

Thank you for your support.
