Unsung Heroes Awards

The Unsung Heroes Awards celebrate the individuals making a difference to people’s lives across the Wakefield District.  The awards are a wonderful opportunity to showcase just how alive and vibrant volunteering is within our local communities.

Charity of the Year is a special partnership between your business and us. You don’t have to be a large company or even a corporate company.

By partnering together, you help ensure that we can continue our important work within the community of the Wakefield District, while also letting your team and customers know they are contributing to a good cause.

Charity of the Year allows your business to officially partner with a charity, not only helping you meet your corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals but also boosting staff morale, as your team knows their hard work contributes to something beyond the four walls of your office.

Personalised Business Funds can be set up from a pledge of £20,000 upwards. The fund will be named after your organisation as you decide which groups and projects you would like your organisation to support in the Wakefield District. Choose local priorities that are in line with your brand values, or that your staff are keen to support, ensuring your charitable giving is effective and has real impact.

When you set up a Personalised Business Fund you are supported in the following ways

  • We provide support to ensure your giving is active, planned and tied closely to your business values and CSR plans
  • All requests for support and grants awarded are managed by our team, allowing you to concentrate on your business activities
  • We manage and promote PR and communications relating to fund set up and grants awarded
  • Your business gets a dedicated fund section with your branding on our website
